About Joy
Joy Kingsley-Ibeh was born in Port Harcourt, Nigeria, and raised across Nigeria, London, and New York. She came to fashion the long way around: a Division I volleyball scholarship at George Mason University, a season playing professional sport in the Netherlands, and a decade working full-time for the federal government by day while building her fashion career by night. That path taught her early what resilience, discipline, and real passion for the work actually look like.
Losing her father and brother, both to armed robbery, made one thing clear: life is short. Do what you love. Go all in.
Today, Joy is one of the most respected fashion entrepreneurs in the Mid-Atlantic. She is the founder of both Style by Kingsley and Kingsley Management, a regular style expert on FOX 5, Great Day Washington, and Living Local DMV, and her editorial work has appeared in British Vogue, Forbes, Essence, DC Modern Luxury, and Washington Life.
She is also a mother of twin boys, and she builds everything with them in mind.
